An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man was missing from his home in Mapanpora area. He said that his body was seen floating in Jhelum, following which locals informed the police. "The body was later recovered by a police team and was shifted a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities," he said.
